Dr Paul McGrath is from Saugus, Massachusetts. He graduated cum laude from Saint Michael's College , Winooski, Vermont in 1981. In 1985, he graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with a DMD degree. While at Tufts, Dr McGrath served as the Chairman of the Student Council. Upon Graduation, Dr McGrath started his general dentistry private practice in Hyannis.

Dr McGrath is a past Chairman of the Cape Cod District Dental Society, and has volunteered as a Presiding Chairman and Room Coordinator at the Yankee Dental Congress for the past seven years. Dr McGrath's professional interests are in prosthetic dentistry, implant supported dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry.

Outside of the office, Dr McGrath enjoys bicycling, and is often seen riding one of the many bikes in his large collection. He is a seven year veteran of the Pan Mass Challenge, and along with his team, Team Kathy, has donated over $350,000 to the Jimmy Fund for cancer research. Dr Mcgrath, and his wife Karen, reside in Sandwich, Massachusetts.

Dr Dawn Ackermann is originally from Queens, NY. She attended Hofstra University and graduated from the City University of New York . Throughout her college years, she worked as a dental assistant and her interest in dentistry was peaked. She attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. She graduated and received her DMD degree in 1999. She then entered a general dentistry residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Northport, NY. She completed her residency in 2000. Following her residency, she moved to Cape Cod, MA and joined Hyannis Dental Associates in May 2000.

Dr Ackermann has been very active in the Cape Cod District Dental Society. She has served as secretary, vice-chair, and eventually served a 2 year term as Chair of the Society. Dr Ackermann is a general dentist who's practice includes prosthetic dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and pediatric dentistry.

Outside the office, Dr Ackermann is an accomplished cook and gardener. She spends her free time bike riding, kayaking, and enjoying the many beautiful beaches located on Cape Cod. She has a daughter, Addison, with her husband, Dr Mark LaCava, and is a devoted mother and wife.

Dr Mark LaCava is originally from Wilmington, MA. He attended St John's Preparatory school in Danvers, MA followed by Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA. Dr LaCava graduated cum laude from Boston College in 1994. He went on to attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. While at Tufts, Dr LaCava was awarded the Merit Scholarship for academic excellence. He also received a Prosthodontic Award for excellence in prosthetic dentistry. Dr LaCava graduated from Tufts in 1999.

Dr LaCava began his private practice in Chatham, MA. In 2002, Dr LaCava relocated his practice and joined Hyannis dental Associates. He is an active member of the American Dental Society , Massachusetts Dental Society , and Cape Cod District Dental Society.

In 2011, Dr LaCava was proud to graduate from the London Institute for Implant Dentistry. Dr LaCava is a general dentist with special interest in endodontics (root canals), prosthetic dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and implant dentistry - both implant placement and restoration.

Outside of the office, Dr LaCava is an avid kitesurfer and windsurfer. He has a daughter, Addison, with his wife, Dr Dawn Ackermann, and is a devoted father and husband.
